Thank you for joining the NC Champions for Life Program. We use this online platform to manager volunteer profiles and opportunities for you to volunteer. Below you will find some frequently asked questions about using the site. If you have any questions, please email us at Info@NCChampions4Life.org.

Do I need an account to respond to opportunities?

Yes. You must be logged in with an existing account to respond to a volunteer need. If you try to respond but are not logged in, you'll see a pop-up that gives you the option of logging in or creating an account. Once you are logged in to your account, you'll be returned to the need-information page to complete your response. If you are volunteering with a program that requires background screening, you will not be able to respond to opportunities until that requirement is complete.

What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, no worries! You can click the Forgot Password link on the login page. From there, you will be asked to enter your email address, and Get Connected will send you a password reset link. If you have trouble, contact your program manager.

Is there training available for volunteers for the platform?

While there isn't any formal training available, you'll find a plethora of articles and videos just for volunteers in the Volunteer section of the Help Center. If you have questions, you can always ask your program manager.

How many volunteer opportunities can I sign up?

Great news. There's no limit to your awesomeness! You can sign up for as many volunteer opportunities as you’d like.

What does it mean to become a fan of a program?

A volunteer with an account for NC Champions for Life will be able to see and get email notifications for a program's volunteer opportunities by becoming a fan. If you fan a program, you’ll be notified every time that program posts a new need or event on the site. If you do not become a fan, you will have to log into your account in order to see new opportunities.

Do I need to add my own volunteer hours?

At this time, LifeShare Carolinas and Donate Life NC staff will handle entering all volunteer hours. You will be able to see your hours on the landing page and can contact your program manager if you have any questions.

Can I find and connect with other volunteers on this platform?

Unfortunately, no. Your NC Champions for Life profile is totally yours and there isn't a way to "friend" or connect fellow site users.

How do I stop receiving emails?

All site users have the option of "opting out" of all messages coming from your site, including email blasts and automated notifications. Volunteers can opt out using two methods: • By clicking the Unsubscribe link included in email messages generated from your site. • By going to their profile and changing the email setting, as described in Managing Your Volunteer Profile. Please note if you opt out of emails, you will not be notified of upcoming volunteer opportunities.

What if I want to suggest an event for LifeShare or Donate Life NC to attend?

We love to hear about new ideas in your community and highly encourage idea sharing! Please email your program manager to suggest an event. Those can be found here: Find My Program Manager
